This caught my attention as I never specifically thought that these types of medical conditions would cause bankruptcy, they just seem so unrelated.

But according to this article 3% of all brain or spinal injuries ended up in bankruptcy.

It's no wonder as the cost of medical treatment is sky high especially if you are without adequate health insurance. It can literally wipe out your savings or retirement!
